Deepwater Horizon Claims

A settlement of the Deepwater Horizon damages has been agreed to and

ALL OF LOUISIANA IS WITHIN THE CLAIM ZONES

Business Economic Loss claims are based on monthly accounting records and certain financial calculations. The claim submission process is akin to submitting an insurance claim packet.  To assist you and/or your attorney in filing a claim, we offer the following services:

1. Claim Documents Packet: First, we prepare an estimate of a potential claim to assess the viability of a claim at no cost.  Then we prepare a claim documents packet to file with the DWH Claim Center including a complete DWH Compliance Analysis for potential issues including a complete claim calculation. A completed packet is provided on a CD and ready to be filed.  Our fee for this service generally runs between $3,500 and $6,500 and potentially reimbursed through the DWH Claim process.

2. Accounting Record Compliance:  The DWH Claim process requires monthly financial information that must reconcile to your filed Federal tax return. With our extensive background in controllership, auditing and forensic accounting, we can assist you with preparing monthly financial records. This type work is not reimbursable under the DWH Claim process.  Our fees for this type of service can be on an hourly or a contingent basis.

Advantages of using our firm: We have proprietary software to calculate the claim results compliant with the Business Economic Loss requirements and have obtained the knowledge to build and submit your claim file documentation by servicing over $10 million in claims in various stages including claimant payout.

We can work with your attorney or if you are in need of an attorney to assist with the claim process, we can recommend experienced and seasoned attorneys to effectively supplement your claim team.
